Never add Acid.
Keep the battery terminals Rust free. Use petroleum jelly (Not white grease).
Keep the battery in non earth contact while charging.
At least once in a year, even if it is working properly, ‘Bench charge’ the battery.
Charge the battery until 16V & 1.250 spg (Acid, Tubular), 14.5V (VRLA).
3 stage Charging with float charge is essential for VRLA battery Charging.
Allow the battery minimum 3 hours cooling period to load test after Charging.
